The Brief

The Tourism Authority of Thailand were seeking to promote the country as an amazing, must-visit destination. And to present the Kingdom in a fresh and innovative way using TV ads and online.

The Solution

Three one minute commercials, showing Thailand from the point of view of the people who know it best - the locals.

We also created a microsite www.amazingthailand.tv which hosted the films and a competition for viwers to upload photos which would demonstrate how winning a trip to Thailand would make them feel.

A 15 second spot ran on BBC World to drive viewers to the microsite.

Three winners of a trip for two to Thailand were chosen by an independent judge - the photographer Seamus Ryan.

196 images were approved and uploaded onto the microsite.

This was an exclusive deal for BBC World and a first working with Tourism Authority of Thailand.
